With unimpeded views of the Monashee Mountains, this custom-built home by Parallel Vision Contracting is partial Douglas Fir timberframe and designed for a couple looking to retire to a property overlooking the City of Revelstoke. Modest in size, an emphasis was put on quality materials, generous open spaces and energy efficiency. The rectangle shape was carefully customized to provide areas of view, shelter and playful design while simplifying construction. The covered main entry opens to a vaulted timberframe ceiling, clerestory and living room windows with floor-to-ceiling glass, and pine ceilings that transition from exterior to interior. The home truly embraces the spectacular natural environment of surroundings.
